This corner of the Rockies, roughly 45 miles south of Bozeman, Montana, is a choose-your-own-adventure kind of city. And Big Sky Resort sits at the top of many Montana itineraries for good reason—especially come wintertime. Ski days here mean inviting terrain of wide-open slopes, steep chutes, and picture-perfect runs beneath the hulking silhouette of Lone Peak. Just 10 minutes from the resort itself, this gorgeous mountain home sits on a sprawling 23 acres of land in the Lower Beehive Basin neighborhood—a backcountry ski destination in and of itself.
Inside the home, you’ll find modern cowboy country design and swanky amenities in the places that matter. For one, each of the two bedrooms feature king beds with mattress warmers to keep you cozy during winter nights. Take advantage of the big patio space for stargazing, relaxing in the hot tub, and cooking up some s’mores before heading inside for a movie night. The house can technically host up to eight guests, but it’s more ideal for families or smaller groups. Aside from the two bedrooms, the living room offers one sofa bed and two bunk beds.
