Brickbat: Traffic Toll

Former Ruleville, Mississippi, police officer Antonio Wade was sentenced to seven years in federal prison plus three years of supervised release for using his position to extort money. During a traffic stop in 2025, Wade learned the driver was undocumented and exploited that fact to take money from him. Prosecutors said this was not the first time Wade had done it.
