University of Texas responds after GOP statewide candidate’s racist posts

The University of Texas said it is “proud to celebrate” all its students after racist social media posts by Bo French, the Republican nominee for Texas railroad commissioner, over the weekend.

On Sunday, French shared a photo of University of Texas students at a home football game — most of whom appeared to be non-White — celebrating the Longhorns’ victory. He wrote on X that “the problem is now obviously far worse than anyone imagined” and that “social media is exposing how many Americans have been displaced by foreigners.”
